Bratstyle seat pan for 1975 cb550

Anybody have a good seat or plan to do this, planning on makin my pan ready for the upholster this weekend?

I've been wanting to do this also. My plan is to grind off the hinges and any other stuff to be able to make the pan flat between the frame tubes. Then I'm going to try the old cardboard-and-masking-tape routine to make a seat pan out of fiberglass. Then cut foam, wrap it in plastic (water protection) and then upholster with some sort of brown leather.

I have never tried this before and it is a ways off (probably after this riding season). Let me know how yours works out and take lots of pics.

Will do Im gunna do the old card board trick myself, then have a buddy upholster it for me. Ill keep you posted will be doing this in the next month or so.

Cool. I think I'm going to do mine sooner than later. I need to finish up the rewiring that I'm working on. I just got a grinder, so once I get the wiring out of the way I'll go to town.
