CB650 exhaust.... Bent?
« on: February 11, 2012, 09:37:23 AM »
I'm happy with the way these cleaned up but the #2 pipe looks like it has been bent.  I mocked it up and it looks like I'll be able to get it on.  Wishful thinking but the exhaust wasn't designed like that huh?

*edit* Yes, I dumped my float bowls out onto my lawn   :-X

Wow, that's nasty, must have happened in 'storage as I've never seen a pipe bent in that place without the lower section being flat (head on crash)
You could try an exhaust expander to true it up but it's going to be difficult whatever you do

An accident was the first thing I thought as well but no other major damage was on them.  I was able to get them on after a little pressure on that pipe.  Sometimes it pays to just be lucky I guess...
