Well, all was moving along well with my tank. I refilled it with MEK and cut up some more chain. I plugged the bottom real good and sloshed it around for a while. I sat it upright on my seat so I could see way down in it. All of the sudden I see a white mess forming on my seat. Immediately realizing the plug popped out, I flipped the tank over on its top so the fuel cap would seal it. Yep, no gas cap. So now it dumps all over my legs and shoes and garage floor. The MEK evaporated quick and left liner all over the left side of the bike. Fortunately, it comes off real easy with some steel wool. The (outside) of tank will need something to loosen the liner now too. And I needed a new seat cover anyway. Ladies and gentlemen, your dumb moment of the day...
