3 litres in 3 hours? *Oil spill*

After I drove to work today (3km) a college noticed that the Honda had lost a lot of oil.

I though it was the usual from the cylinder, but this was huuuuuuge!

It came from the sprocket cover at the very back of it.

Gearshifter seal? I doubt that, 3 litres in 3 hours is alot!

How exactly do you teach abstinence though?

Pray the chain hasnt come loose enough to puch a hole in the crankcase!

That’s a lot of oil lost....hope your problem can be fixed easily   :o

I agree, it's alot but it could happen.

Shifter seal is below the level of oil when it's on the sidestand.

Try leaving the bike on the center stand to see if it loses less oil.

BTW, changing the shifter seal is a 15 minute job if you know how to pull it, and costs about 10 bucks.
