End Process Tree
« on: February 17, 2012, 12:48:49 AM »
I figured out that the laptop gets bogged down on gmail talk plugin.

I love it- free phone calls, but it often wants me to reload the stuff before it wants to work.

Then sometimes on it own it starts loading up google talk plugin repeatedly to where I find my task manager has 290 processes running when it should only have 70 or so. What gives?

I go to the task manager and end process on them, spend several minutes. Sometimes I use end process tree, but what's the difference?

Sometimes it takes several minutes to kill them all, when it gets beyond a couple hundred processes open it locks. It's like a virus and I can't restart, just have to unplug and remove the battery to kill it and start over.

Anyone use google phone? Sometimes it works,  and I like free calls in US and Canada, but it can be a real pain in the butt.

Uninstall the google app, run antivirus scan, also spybot search and destroy the re-install the google app. End process tree I believe would end the process plus all other items associated with that process. Next time try under the applications tab and end the application.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I accidently hir end process on IE and it killed it all. I've been running scans and clearing files , disc cleanup and DBH on vista, still it repeats the same. I guess killing IE process is better than clicking off a hundred of them, they all go off at once.

I sure do like it when it works, other than that I avoid starting the phone business.
