I got a CB360 with no spark.  Fully charged battery, but no spark.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

possibly some corrosion on you're black/white wire connections that run the coils that go through the right hand switch? or...points.

Thanks grcamna2!

I didn't look at it too hard, but I know I got power to B/W using a test light.  Blue and Yellow from points also have power.  Didn't take the take the stator cover off and turn by hand to see if the test light would go out.  Will try setting the points tomorrow and see if I have better luck.

I made some progress and got spark on the left, but still not spark on the right.  I tested the condensors and they are good.  Pretty sure both coils are ok so it is looking like a points problem. No power to the right cyclinder blue wire.  Could this be because the right side points are not acting right?  Sorry for the pun.  I just want to test the engine to evaluate to see if I want to keep this bike.

Try really cleaning off those points w/ a bit of fine abrasive Paper or a good quality points file;you may have to remove the points from the points plate and split them to clean each contact separately. If you need I have a points plate w/ a restored pair of points(filed nice and lubed w/ high temp.grease on the pivot shaft after having all surfaces completely degreased) that are in good shape;lot's of times those points just have grease w/ dirt burned in over the miles and are SO in need of a good, square filing. ;)....if you do buy it.

Thanks grcamna2,

I may just get another set.  I think there is more to the left point than contact surfaces.  I probably should not have gotten this bike since I got a much nicer 75 cb750 with 9,500 miles that just needs cleanup.

These 360s are strange the whole LF and F thing.  I have read the Manuel and still have no idea how to set the points on a cb360.  I am thinking it is just putting her back on craigslist.  Bet it would not take much at all to get her running clean tank and carbs just need spark.  Excellent compression too.

I looked over there I might try reposting this there.  I am pretty certain that once I get a new set of points I will be good to go.  The advance has some rust on it so this will need to be taken apart and cleaned too.  Tried to do the job without the tool will tackle again this weekend and see how it goes. Should be better with a breaker bar to turn the crank.
