Clear coats do have there draw backs.

Neverwet does not hold up for more than a couple months, it has to be reapplied every couple months. I work in a store that sells it...Larry

It is fairly transparent and is a two part application process. Works well for clothiing, shoes, etc but I doubt if has fits our bill...

It was developed just a few miles up the road from my house and then subsequently sold to Rustoleum. We sold quite a bit at first but sales have tapered off lately...Larry

I agree with your painter, don't clear it. Can you get simichrome over there?
Polish it 3-4 times a year.

I've tried a bunch of products but seem to always come back to Simichrome. I once bought a large tub of it but found it would evaporate, stick with the tubes...Larry

FLITZ a German product is similar to Simichrome.. Might be easier to find over there.
