Topic: 71 cb500 reg/rec swap

I'm wanting to swap a combined reg/rec unit from an 84 Goldwing onto my 71 cb500. Reason beaing....I already have it.
This is a 8 wire unit
2 red/white wires
2 green wires
1 black wire
3 yellow
It looks kinda like I could tie the couple the greens as well as the reds. Should that work or am I way off?

white- your missin it
green yes ground
black yes ignition side
red yes battery side pos
IMO i would say no, I dont think tieing either one of your extra greens or red/white to make up for the missing white to plug into the stator white would work
