Ascot park reunion

http://www.ascotflattrack.com/newsandevents.html

To celebrate the spirit and commemorate Ascot riders, tuners and fans, the Wally Parks N.H.R.A. Motorsports Museum Presented by the Automobile Club of California has offered its spacious facilities so everyone can enjoy the displays, see, and meet the Ascot Half-Mile, TT and Short Track riders from the 1950s-1990s.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and display a Class C race bike and memorabilia from that and all other eras, in the expo area. No awards or judging- just a lot of Grand National-level bench racing.

I made it there once to see the Speedway bikes...pretty cool legendary place..
Had an open wheel car, well frame and body,  that was built near there and raced there, then it came up here.. found the original builder thru ebay, and it went back to him...

I was born and raised in Gardena California where Ascot was located. I spent an awful lot of Friday nights there. On the Friday's that I was unable to go I could step out on my front porch and tell if it was a Harley or a British bike that was leading just from the sound. Almost as much fun as the races was walking the parking lot looking at all the bikes. I once saw a brand new Vincent Black Knight there. That was the one that had full body work and is absolutely unobtainable today.
