And we are very early in the season. They said there were more tornados in one day than the average month of March.
Hope the best...

Likewise.

It has been a strange winter, at least in the mid-west. Fifth warmest on record, all the cold and snow went to Europe. And this outbreak of tornadoes is very unusual for this early in the season. Let's hope it not just an extension of the season for these folks.

It was the first time I've ever heard the weather people calling for a 90% chance of tornados.

Lexington came through with just some hail and rain, not far in any direction there were real problems. Say a prayer for all those effected by the storms.

Saw a reporter interview one guy who had recently moved into his rebuilt house that was destroyed last year and he got hit again.  The upper air weather pattern is similar to last year so buckle up if you live in the "Alley".  We are on the northern edge and I don't worry about them much but a big one missed us last year by 1/2 mile.

Best wishes to all affected and hope that you are all safe.
Can't imagine the terror and ferocity, just our normal gale force winds down here on the coast are bad enough..

I spent a few minutes on Friday huddled in a small bathroom with wife, 2 daughters, 2 grandaughters, 2 cats. Came out and gathered the biggest hailstones (1"+) I've ever seen. No serious damage here in Nashville TN, but all around not so good.  :'(  Advance public notices here very good in wake of last years tragedies.

Just my $0.02 worth, I highly recommend everyone acquire one the emergency alert radios if they don't already have one, they are worth every penny and just as valuable to saving human lives as smoke detectors. Might want to insure it supports S.A.M.E technology and responds to EOM messaging.
