Finally joining the SOHC herd!
« on: March 05, 2012, 07:55:57 AM »
Hello Everyone. I picked up a CB550K1 last week, and am more than excited about getting her in shape. The plan is to stay close to OEM, with a few period correct mods.

I lusted after all of the Honda fours as a kid in the 70's, and think that the 500/550K's are my personal favorite. I hope to contribute what I can, and look forward to frequenting sohc4.net!

Thanks Greggo. Sweet ATP Bonneville bike by the way! I wouldn't change a thing, except maybe a log pipe if you could find one. FWIW, I believe that ATP used IHI pumps for their smaller displacement turbo kits. The KZ550 kit used one if I remember correctly.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Welcome. Nice color. It will get lots of attention.

Thanks, but the tank is quite faded. Much less color than your beautiful K1! I can't decide whether to do a restoration paint job, or just leave it. At least the "seasoned" paint is a perfect match for the seasoned bike.
