First project 1972 CB750 I call it "Blue"
« on: March 05, 2012, 08:55:19 PM »
I started last year but it sat through the winter. I just started back at it again and hope to have it finished by late April.....I hope. I don't have much left to do but work is busy so I just do what I can. I'm a little disappointed that I forgot to snap a picture of the bike before I started to strip it down. You would have loved to see the nice leather sissy bar and the inverted ape hangers it had.

So did you decide not to sell it then?

I'm going to keep working on it until something happens. I like it and all but I have another frame and engine for a 73 that I was looking at in my yard. it's looking tempting. I really want to ride this one but I also like the early stages of prepping them. I'm a bit manic when it comes to making up my mind on this. Put it to you this way, I'm not trying to flog it. If somebody wants it, I will let it go for the price or close to it. I will never recoup my hours as you know what goes into these bikes. I have learned a few things I might do differently but all in all it was a ton of fun to build. I also am rebuilding a 1976 Airstream but that's another forum.
