I've been working on the owner, trying to get a good job/career.  I just don't have the experience he wants, which I can understand after seeing his shop.  Holy Begeezus this guy's got some dough wrapped up in his showroom... which by the way is nothing but classics!  All the bikes in for service were fairly older too, I forgot to snap a shot of that.

Just look at this!  please excuse the crappy cell phone pix

  • I love to restore & travel. Keep'em Going Strong !
heffay,
those are some Very High End Classics in 100 Restored Cond.  8) Is that his main thing? Only Classics even back to prewar...that's his whole business...hmm;he would be a good guy to get to know Even for connections for Vintage Honda parts. He looks like a "please only come in to buy" type of fellow though.
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !
Do your BEST...nobody can take that away from you.

OH BOY! I got so excited I dropped the banjo.

Beautiful porn http://www.eastsideperformancemotorcycles.com/for%20sale%20bikes.html.

But, like, Eastside Performance is not , like, in the east is it?

I think I'll linger for a while.

Thank you.

Nevermind, I'll take the blue one and two of the reds, and the big silver one in the front. Thank you, please.

He's only parts/service and that is his private collection.  While a couple were for sale, most were not.  The green kaw and one of the triumphs were the ones he's willing to sell right now.  He's been in biz for 30+ years.

I like the Scott! (ok, I'm prejudiced; after all, it has my name on the gas tank ;)) Some say the Yamaha RD 350 took some design queues from it..
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

I think I heard the master cylinder was anodized black (or blacker) on th K1.  That's all a sane person can ascertain from the picture.  When I meet I sane person, Ill ask them.  It's not me.

I've only seen one Scott in person; I was talking to a guy about his electric dragrace car, and machining some parts for him, when I saw an odd looking bike on his porch. I went to take a look at it, and was very surprised when I saw my name on the tank badge! I had heard of Scott motorcycles, but I didn't know they were made in the Shipley factory. They were state-of-the-art two-strokes, and set standards for several decades.

That's TJ. He and his wife often show up at the Pavilions on Pima Rd. on Saturday nights riding some of that stuff. I don't know if he's a member of this forum, but he's a member of our local VJMC chapter. We're having a meet this morning at the Deer Valley Airport restaurant @ 8 am, though I doubt TJ will be there due to working at the shop. You might drop by the meet if you read this soon enough, or just join the chapter.

He's a nice guy, not the usual owner/blowhard.  At least thats how he seems in email and in person.

Thanks for the invite, got a huge list of stuff to do this weekend.  Might try to make it ti the april 1st bike show though.
