Hi there.... well things have been quiet , but work has been progressing.
Diy spraybooth ,lol, cos the bloody dust was buggering all the hard work in spraying..
Sprayed and pinstriped the cafe tank... gloss to come.
Sent the 350 off for powder coating and am now assembling...
Busy making a mold for the cafe's tailpiece and checking fit.
A mate gave me some immaculate pieces,(thanks Tim) so I'm starting to rebuild a K. Its gonna be a mixed bag between 71 and 74 depending on parts.
I have collected everything for another K, just waiting for a cash flow to get the hardened head bolts from ape and seat cover from DS for both the 350 and the K.
Fitted this wide tire to the cafe as i hated the com-stars. I have no idea what it's from and had to fit various spacers before it lined up with the front (will check properly when assembling). The front is also going onto a dual disk spoked. wheel.(actually a whole K front end is going on, offset is different but tube diameter is the same.)
350 Engine sprayed, awaiting assembly.I need to get the head skimmed and the cylinders as well. Gasket set has arrived.
Panel beating (if you can call it that) the 350 headlight holder, as the bike had taken a tumble some time in the past and stoved the ear in. It came out great. Now spray fill , paint etc.
Opps, how did that get in here...
, another project.BMW R35/3 1954.So Building 4 bikes at once...
Good times... rather
good poor times Nice thing about doing 4 bikes at once (cost notwithstanding) is the fact when i spray a color i do it for all the bikes at once saving the hassle of cleaning guns and paint etc. Also helps when buying as you just buy in bulk (ie:seat foam)
...and there is always something to do
Next step is to get a garage with a house attached.
So more pics
