Cam tensioner question...
«
on:

So I am doing my first rebuild, 75 CB750, and was wondering how to tell if I need to replace the cam chain tensioner. The roller is pretty hard. Below is a pretty bad pic of it. I will try to take a better one this afternoon.
Thanks

It doesn,t look to chipped up but what the heck since your in there why not pop for a new one if it real hard. My place shows them for $18.71. How does the other guide plate look. That's around $17.00. Sure is fun spending others money

If its not chipped yet it will be. It's a good idea to replace all rubber bits while it's open.

You actually answered your own question when you said it was hard!
