'78 GL1000 lowers on '78 CB750k tubes
« on: March 20, 2012, 08:54:05 AM »
I was wondering if anyone has tried to put the lower fork from a GL1000 on the fork tubes of a CB750k.

do you lose the CB fender, do you keep the CB axle and rim ???   both are 1978   ...the tubes on the GL are bent so I was thinking about just swapping out the lowers so I can use the dual disk setup that the GL has.

I looked but didn't find a specific reference ....  I know people usually change the upper and lower fork.they both have 35mm tubes right? should work?   any help/links greatly thankfull.

Just swap out the entire front end, it should slide right in. You'll have to find some new upper tubes of course.
