WLS 50,000 watts clear channel in Chicago. I used to pick them up in western Kentucky "back in the day" (I think thats what us new old timers are supposed to say  ;D)

WLS stood for 'World's Largest Store' back when they were owned by Sears, Roebuck, & Co.  As a boy I used to visit my grandfathers farm 250 miles south of Chicago and sit on the tractors with their big box radios mounted to the fenders and be amazed that I could tune in a station from so far away.
