Engine dynos.

I have done a search on this, and nowhere can I find info on building an engine dyno at all. I don't have room for a rolling road type of dyno, nor the money, so I was trying to do some research on the feasibility of making an engine dyno. That would be good enough for me. I ran across an old article from the 60's on one of the bike blogs I read, but I have since lost that link. It was an uncomplicated affair using water and a pump driven by the engine, and I believe it was in a certain brick edifice in a little English town called Meriden.

Does anyone reading this know about engine dynos? I know you want to share!

as dynos are not specific to sohc's, i think you are simply asking / looking in the wrong forum,

try in the speedtalk forum tech area, plenty of heavy hitters in there who build also their own flow benches, chassis dynos, etc.

and if helmut fath could build one 40 years ago in a little shed, then its surely feasible today too.
