Wow the last 2 min of Part 1 were excellent!!! I was thinking just how good the lead guy was when 3rd place comes from nowhere and bam! right on this tail! Can you comment Simon on the braking skills here as all I see is 2nd place guy (pre-8 min) has the faster bike (on the straights) but 1st place guy is better in the corners (and I guess braking)...ok part 2 now...

Wow part 2 was just as exciting with Pepsi guy unable to keep his front wheel on the ground - was he fast! He made the other 2 look like amateurs!

Great stuff after a long day!

I posted that video on here years ago Simon, unreal when you think of it, not only were the other bikes 500s and 750s, they were factory 500s and 750s. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I didn't even know it had been closed :-[ I've been round every road race track in NI apart from Nutts Corner.
I've passed it many a time when going to Dundrod. Was it a HGV training venue as well at one time?

I'm not sure. The only thing I heard going on there was run what you brung road cars, and karts I think. But then again I'm not really a short circuit fan so I never took much notice. NW200 is my bag maaan.  8)

sorry didnt know it had been posted before , was talking about gary the other night and remembered this video

the best northern irish racer since tom Herron [ and i include all pure road racers in that ]  sadly the following march , after getting signed by kenny robert for the coming 250 gp season he crashed at daytona and was paralysed from the waist down . he worked for kenny for years after the crash as team Robert's data logging main man , not sure what he is up to now

andy , at that time Ron haslam was ridding a works 500 suzuki as kevin schwantz's team mate , nothing else in that race could come close to that .
as for gary being good on the brakes i tried to out brake him once , i believe the hole in the fence is still there

Nice indeed Simon and after what i saw on my last race not that surprising....

the only one who gave the top open class guy on an ex-Kawasaki France machine a run for his money was someone on TZ'ized RD350. And not that the Kawi 1000 rider was any slouch, Marco Dall'Aglio was italian open class champion back in the 90's. He sure can ride and won, but couldn't really shake off the TZ/RD all race long. 

The PEM framed kawi is pretty stunning BTW.... see bellow

The same style of wheel was used on all Hondas right down to 50cc.
I had a 3 cylinder 250 with the same wheels with an inboard front disc. (inside a drum)

nice bike tg , on the tight british circuits the small two strokes are usually a good match for the four strokes regardless of size . at my local track aintree the forgotten era class  [ pre 89 in this case ] was split into two classes after the second year , up to 500 and then 500-1300  at the request of the big bike riders !
if you look at the times that the big classic endurance racers do at spa etc they are  usually slower than the icgp 350 times

i will admit to being totally biased on this subject though !

That Suzuki HAD the power!!! WOW
Suzuki has always had a tradition of sharing racing engine information, going so far as to  publish factory porting specs in Cycle World magazine for FREE!!!
So any privateer could compete with the big money.
