dHall, that bike got me started on old Honda's. I bought my first CT70 30 years after I rode my first one. This Blue/Green 1970 is a rare hand clutch model and I bought it as a basket case for 2 bills from a farmer. It was really a barn find! I put it all back together one piece at a time. It got me hooked on working on old Honda's.

I think that is the way a lot of us got started with the Honda work. No problem with the high jack Brian. Good info there. 2 bills for a blue/green 69...you must be church going people.

I promised some pics once I had the bikes in the shop. In order KO, K3, K1, K4. Decided to go with the epoxy floor for the primary reason of the longevity of those floors. That should be done in a few weeks.

Tews...the KO my brother found in a garage covered with a tarp. The guy wanted to move it and I picked it up for $450 with title. The K1 candy gold I saw in a WI vintage magazine and was owned by a guy who had a large collection. I contacted the guy who wrote the article and got the owners name and address. Told him if he ever wants to sell it call me. He said, "let's talk." We did talk and I brought cash...done deal.
The sunflake orange I saw on craigslist in northern WI. The owner had died and left it to his daughter. She did not ride so wanted to move it. She had a number of calls, but most wanted to cafe it. I brought pics of my KO & K1 to show her how I keep them stock and she sold it to me for less than the cafe guy offered her. I got it for $800. No projects on the horizon right now. I think I want to chill a bit and enjoy the riding season.

Today they started the expoxy floor. The guy on the zamboni is doing the diamond grinding of the top layer concrete. Then they will squeegy on the first coat of primer / sealer which will bite right into the rough concrete area.

Here is a pic of the guys tossing down a heavy layer of the flakes onto a beige color base. The flakes are white, beige and forest green. Those will dry to the base coat overnight. Then Friday they cover the entire floor with a clear epoxy.

Yes Steve-o...I plan to install a wood base or "mop board" stained to match the wood trim on the windows. Should add a nice touch.

Fantastic! When you started describing the color of the flakes, I was expecting valley green metallic, ruby red, candy gold and polynesian blue metallic, but white, beige and forest green look mighty nice too.

Got the cedar mop boards stained, varnished and installed. Here is the latest pic of the inside and of the epoxy floor. Picked up an 8 foot stainless steel Craftsman work bench today and that should complete the shop. Still have to hang some Honda signs the local dealer gave me, but I would say it is about done. Thanks for the help along the way with your ideas.
