Topic: The infamous supersport Leftside cover...

Ok folks, another wierd noob question for the Supersport experts out there.  Now everyone agrees that the LS cover on the F2/F3 is unique to those 2 years.  What I'm curious about is, was there more than one design for this cover?  Mine looks like the one on MrZxp's bike.  http://www.sohc4.us/gallery/v/members/personal/MrZxp/left_profile.jpg.html
but I just found one on Ebay that insists is off a 78 SS that looks like this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4646284238&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT  My first reaction was that this was a different side cover than was being advertised till I started looking at my collection of pictures of F2/F3's.  Where I found this picture.  Now I'm really confused.  Can anyone shed some light on this cunumdrum?  Judging by the visable fasteners, I'd say this last picture is a aftermarket, but the one on ebay doesn't have the visable fasteners.  Did anyone make a aftermarket cover that mounted like a stocker?

The one in Mr Zxp's photo is the one, and only, design for the 77-78 750F. The one the guy is selling as a '78 750F is a 750K cover, he probably just doesn't know that much about his bike. Auction says "78 F K". 

   The one in the bottom pic is the aftermarket type modeled after the K cover but would fit 75-76 F models as well. There probably was a time that 77-78 covers were available in the aftermarket but that time has long since past.

some people put the f in the description because of it being a 4 cyl. He state it as a k model frame. I have only seen aftermarket one's for the 75-76 not the 77-78.

That's a 75/76F badge on that side panel too.

Thanks guys, about what I suspected, but I've never looked at the K's side covers before.  Also, that side badge was used on the 77 F2 as well, they didn't change the badge till the 78.
