Got to see it today, needs some TLC, but runs good.  Think he did really good.

Yeah it was garage kept, but it had to shuttle back and forth between two garages, according to the PO.  Probably the worst thing on it condition wise is the exhaust, some rotted out holes at the ends.  It's a ways from being perfect, but since my Stepdad is going to be retiring in a month or so, he'll have time.  The tank has been lined with Kreem, unfortunately, but no leaking gas or bubbling paint.

I have the same bike..but mine is Candy Gold;I have repair experience & parts if needed.

I had the same problem w/ the baffle end caps on mine...and since those mufflers are extremely hard to find..I repaired mine, solidly;I cut off the end taper from the tip of the mufflers squarely so I had full access to the rusted end cap and cut out a round piece of steel to fit around the inner baffle pipe and the O.D.of the end cap & welded the piece in & painted the baffle end cap flat black, then welded the tapered chrome end of the mufflers back on and ground it down & painted that repaired area w/ Duplicolor "Chrome" paint. It is now a sealed system and it looks good & it'll last longer than the thinner steel from the O.E. end cap. ;)

Beautiful!  That last year, in that particular color, was my favorite of all the 350's.  Love the fork gaiters and disk brake.  Enjoy!

grcamna2 - Please post a pic of that bike!  Had him read your solution to the rotted out pipes.

kirkn - TY, I'm sure he will.

Here's a few things I learned (the hard way, of course) with my 3 years of having a G as my only mode of transportation; pass it on to Stepdad if y'all don't already know this stuff... The charging system wasn't designed for burning the headlight day and night (that's law everywhere, right?) so even a new battery will wear out pretty quick ridden daily. I got a battery tender and hooked it up overnight about once a week. I also used to make short (10 mile?) runs at high speed without the headlight on- smart, I know, and I'm $50 poorer after trying to explain why to a South Carolina State Trooper... The top end oiling system is kinda weak- keep the oil fresh. The p.o. of mine wasn't really concerned with this so the cam and rockers were galled, blued and pitted after 9000 miles on the clock, making proper valve adjustment impossible. The oil always seemed to smell gassy in a real short time, so I went with the "cheap oil, often" school after replacing the rocker tower (I mean, it's 2 quarts. Why not?) Lastly, keep the point cam lubed. Mine seemed harder on the heels of the points than any other bike I've owned. All that said, I miss it. It was fun, quick, easily did 80mph on the interstate. Enjoy!

That is sweet!  8) Those side cover emblems are very rare. Very. The headlight ears are specific to that year only. Sold a nice set of those also.

I had one that I sold a while back. Was a kick to ride. Had an OEM tachometer that went for $10.00 bucks on flea bay. Should of kept it.  :(

I have a few parts left over so if you need something in particular just shoot me a PM. Give me a little time to look as I was selected for Jury duty on a trial that will last one (1) month. I know I have two (2) seats somewhere.

David Silver Spares sells an exhaust system for that bike. You will also need the muffler clamps and grind the flange off the header pipes. Not that hard.

That's one sweet looking bike, toytuff!

grcamna2 - Haven't spoken with him lately, been busy with house stuff and my CB750, but will forward a link to him so he can see all the recent thread replies, maybe he'll speak up and tell us where he's at on it.
