Countershaft seals
« on: April 23, 2012, 09:41:39 AM »
My 1977 750A countershaft seal ( behind the chain sprocket ) is leaking slightly. I can find the inner seal 34x66   91211-393-003 from Mother honda but the outer seal 34x62x13    91203-393-003 is no longer available. Does anyone have a source and part number for this seal or seals. Thanks

I just order two from cmsnl - their website said they had three left - before I bought two.

http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb750a-750-hondamatic-78-us_model7237/partslist/E++19.html

Item 28.
1978 CB750A (upgrading very, very slowly)

Past bikes - Honda: SL350, CX650C, CB900C, CB1000C, CM450A; Kawasaki: several 1972 750 H2's; Suzuki: TC90J.

Bikes I want: CX650ED, a mid-sized japanese V-twin with ABS.

Another option:

National Oil Seal 710422 (is a 34x62x10)

If you can't get the original Honda one, then I'd set the seal depth so that the seal contacts the countershaft in the same location as stock.  You just may have a seal that is not set to its full depth.
