Might be putting a new exhuast on my bike

I currently have a 1977 CB750 with Dual 2 into 1 exhaust pipes. The pipes have no baffles in them and the jetting is absolutely perfect. My question is I recently bought a 4-into-1 MAC exhaust for $50 and would like to put it on my bike, the issue is that it has the baffle in it currently and would like to leave it there if possible. Could I just drill a bunch of holes and it should be good or do I need to remove the baffle to get it to run properly?

I would try the pipe as is first.  Then if there is a runability issue, start the process of rejetting the carbs.

Does anyone have any idea how loud it would be without the baffle? Is that even a good option or do I run the risk of hurting valve if I leave it wide open?

absurdly loud.  i bought a 750 that came with a mac 4 into 1 with no baffle, its headache loud.  if you dont run the baffle, ill buy it from you (seriously, ive been watching for one on ebay lol)

I had a MAC 4-1 on my K6 and without the baffle it was obnoxious.  I tend to like less noise rather than more but I'm betting a lot of law enforcement would "encourage" you (give you tickets) to put the baffle back in.  I have heard of folks modifying the baffle to try to make the MAC more throaty.  I'm not sure if the threads are still around where folks were doing that.

I am looking at a set, there are after market but it doesn't look like they will use the stock collar, will they use clamps? Or how do i go about mounting these. Can someone enlighten me on this subject please

check the MAC website...they offer two baffles, the race baffle sounds nice, kinda quiet at idle but has a voice at high rpm, the regular baffle is just quiet, I tried to drill more holes/modify mine and my bike ran like crap, pulled it out and it was even worse, then removed the whole muffler, just an open header and it ran pretty good :-\...still don't understand this
