Something I machined today
« on: May 19, 2012, 12:38:52 PM »
I ave an old CB750 (836) chopper from the 70s. The Finc springer has independent front legs which lead to some spooky fast corners. I built a "tweek bar" to connect the front legs and tighten up the cornering a bit. Others that have done this report marked improvement in handling.

Pics are here, http://s1165.photobucket.com/albums/q583/choppersprocket/finch%20Tweek%20bar/
From flat bar stock to finished fork brace.

This is the kind of work I do @ Sprocketwerx Motorsports, check it out on facebook :)

There are pics of the bike in another album called The Blue #$%*. Same photobucket account.
The forks DO NOT have grooves, and Ron himself told me (just last weekend) he didn't build many without the grooves. I've never seen another smooth leg Finch springer, so this one's a keeper!!!!

I saw 2-55 gal barrels of fork legs @ Finch's shop and all of them had grooves!
