Topic: Anyone member in or around Hickory NC with a 74 Boss Maroon Metallic bike?

Good morning all,

Just picked up a 74 750 and want to have it painted the original color of Boss Maroon Metallic.  My local paint store says the color code is not in there system for whatever that means and suggested I bring in a piece with the paint and they can reproduce it.

I live near Lenoir, NC.  Any member in this area have an extra sidecover or similar part painted in Boss Maroon Metallic and willing to loan it for a quick trip to the paint shop?

Have you tried PPG? Apparently they have some colors...

let us know if they have some and maybe ask what colors they actually have.  I am in for a new paint job and have been debating for awhile on whether to order a kit or risk having a local painter shoot a color-match
