Dyna Ignition timing

I installed the Dyna ignition on my 550 last fall. All seems well. I just double checked the timing and it lines up perfect on the advance marks when revving higher, but it is a bit advanced at idle. I understand that you are supposed to time it at the advance marks, and I hear that the issue with the 550 is that it goes to advance too quickly... maybe from a weak advancer spring?

Anyway, just wanted to get a sense on whether this is really all normal. It's not like I could change the timing at idle without moving the advance. The bike is running well, but does have the a slight bit of the typical sputter between 3500 & 4000 - ish

They don;t make the spring anymore, and I don;t wanna try to cut it shorter for fear of causing bigger issues.

Thoughts?
