Yup, data tag on the steering stem. Newer bikes make it very hard to see. :P

Started rebuilding the carb. Mains looked good but one slow speed jet was clogged. Replaced all the metal bits with new (kept the old parts) as  I would have really buggered up things removing the o-rings from the mains and putting them on the old ones.

Did not mess with the needles. Got as far as pulling the caps off the top and replacing the gaskets. Since they looked pretty good (save one carb) I'm going to take the chance and not mess with the needles for now.

Brake lines did not arrive in time for the holiday so I guess repacking wheel bearings is next and may be putting the new sprockets and chain on next next.

You did remove and clean the emulshion tubes on the carbs I hope. It will make a big difference in the way it runs.

I have no idea. Probably not. But that part is not listed under that name on the exploded drawing I have of the carbs so I cant confirm. Is  there another name or can you narrow it down by location or function?

Ah! No I did not. I also talked to a buddy that knows a lot about this sort of thing and he set me on the straight and narrow about those. Thanks!

One tube should be inspected, the other three should be clean as a whistle. I'll try to get to it this weekend yet. Gotta figure out/read the manual, on  what all comes off to change the chain and sprockets. The cover is off and while it's not as dirty as I've seen, it's still a mess in there. :) That old style chain lube is the pox.
