1978 cb750f muffler
« on: May 31, 2012, 08:29:23 AM »
my muffler has a hole in it, and while I would like to get a kerker or something like that for now cash is short, so I am considering just a mac slipon.  Has anyone had it, how does it sound?  Is the fit good?  how loud is it?  I want a slightly louder than stock, with good sound.
Other suggestions?

I have a new MAC 4-2 exhaust system, but I'm dealing with some carb issues that are stopping me from being able to ride, so I can't offer any first hand thoughts.

From what I've hear from other people, the MAC slip ons are cheap, but fairly quiet compared to stock. If you're not looking for any huge performance gains, MAC is usually affordable and what I hear people go with...which is why I picked mine up.

Sorry I can't offer any more helpful information.

I've used a Mac on my 75 750F. Fairly quiet, good sound. Seems to be well made. Fairly heavy. The baffle could be modified for more noise/less back pressure. It was my only option until I bought the Kerker.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
