Is this the new trend?
« on: June 17, 2012, 06:52:50 PM »
Thought this was interesting and wanted ti share

I know playing with phone while driving is not recommended especially $159+ ticket if you get caught. Totally not worth it.  But I was bored, stuck in traffic in LA on Sunday afternoon. A guy cruising by slowly through the traffic and I noticed.

I don't know how well you can see the pic.
Bright color all over him
-yellow bike, non Honda
-neon green helmet
-neon orange skateboard on his back
-black/pink checkered board vans shoes

Around here I have been noticing some older riders and what looks like maybe some husband and wife riding couples, more Women then ever riding, sporting very bright safety lime green colored vests.

Silly buggers over here are all using hi-vis jackets/bibs. It's hard to tell who's a cop and who isn't.
I like my leather.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

My last helmet was really brightly colored.  Neon yellow with neon green red graphics.   I didn't love this helmet but it was very easily seen.  Being seen and goofy looking beats being cool and dead any time

In our area the trend seem to be those silly two wheel front one wheel rear contraptions. It has no appeal to me whatsaever.

The 80s are back in full force. Seriously though, when I started riding motocross all they sold were fluorescent clothes. Then that went out. I was looking at a mx magazine about 2-3 years ago, and the "new" jerseys and pants were all hot pink and highlighter yellow.

When you're talking "Safety," riding gear isn't just a fashion statement.  Seeing and being seen is important.
