Push/Pull throttle
« on: June 21, 2012, 03:31:11 AM »
Anyone ever swap cables, are the push and pull basicly the same on the 350f (and any other SOHC if you know)?

Anyone swapped them on Anything?

Just wanting to  trim the flea bay  budget and  use what I have, which is two of the pull cables from a 350f.

Thanks for comments.

On the 550 they are both different. The push cannot do the job of the pull.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Same on the 750. There is NO adjustment on the push cable. (up by the lever)

The so called "push" cable has a larger diameter barrel on the throttle end of the cable. They will not interchange.

The designers made it that way so there would be no mix up and cause a person to hook them up incorrectly and cause a person to have an accident by assembling the cables backwards.

I assumed I would have to buy something, but had hoped not.

Now another .... the one that sits forward of the pair is the pull?
