cb750k Carb swap Question (77-78)
« on: July 09, 2012, 07:17:00 PM »

I am a newby so take this with a grain of salt :) If it has already been posted I apologize, I did not find it anywhere yet.
I currently have a 78 cb750k and one of the brass nipples that runs into the base of the carb #2 body broke off. I tried to get it out from the other side by hammering an exact diameter rod through but then I realized I punched through a specifically cut hole. need less to say I think I messed it up. part is PD42BA

So my question

Are my carbs toast?

Fill any 78 cb750F or cb750F K carb setup work?

Can I use the previous year 77 cb750k or f carbs?

Thanks again!

F PD carbs have a different air vent mechanism-no tubes.  What you need to do is just replace the body.  Go the "items wanted" section and list your PDXXXX numbers and year/make and someone will probably help you.  I probably have one if you choose to go that way.
