Aftermarket indicators, please help by posting your pics
« on: July 14, 2012, 10:45:08 AM »
I continue to make progress with my 550F build. After I careful thought, and meeting an individual who used to race the Isle of Mann last week. I need to make more changes to my bike. He suggested my bars are to big, so I ordered drag bars. Most likely still bigger then clip ons, I will give them a try.

Now I want to make the front end less clottered. First thing that is happeneing is the LED lights to be installed in the freshly painted speedo and tach housing.

Next is to remove the indicators and use the simple LED individual green for neutral, red for oil, and blue for high beam. Can anyone post pics of their set up and where they got them from?

I have been searching Ebay and do not want to do all this work and buy crap that doesn't last longer then a few weeks.

I am actually thinking of running clip on. I need 35 mm correct? if so, can you also help me by posting some pics of your clip ons as well as brand? If I need to, I will remove the stock chrome ears and go from there as well.

Thanks for the help in advance.

These are the clip ons from Roccity. I got them because they're pretty much infinitely adjustable.

Just remove the /74.htm.  Go to the company, not the item.  Items change often on catalog pages.

CycleX clip-ons. 35mm. Only gripe I have is that the mounting hardware limits the amount of pullback you can have unless you put some bar indents in your tank.

If you want a slicker look, you HAVE to do something about the stock gauges. They stick out like a sore thumb. You can either get some small gauges and lower them, or go with a digital dash. I've had a trail computer on order for the longest time, but since I lost my job I can't afford to pick it up :(

(pay no attention to the #$%*tily mounted seat, my dad took used the hardware I had to remount it lol.

You have the nice idiot lights. I don't. I am looking Into my moms husband to make me a custom triple. I ordered three led lights off eBay about 30 min ago.

I replaced the gauges on my '82 cb650 with a small speedo from DimeCityCycles. They specialize in bobber & cafe parts. It has the idiot lights built in.
