People mess with your bike?
« on: July 15, 2012, 09:04:13 AM »
On other occasions I've thought... "did I really leave my petcock on?" ... Yesterday I KNOW I turned it off, but when getting ready to leave work... it was on.  >:( wtf!
Why do people do that?

I live on the edge of a trailer park where it seems no one watchs their kids. So i have been creative with some take grease and thumb tacks. They used to like to sit on my bike and bounce. Being afraid they would knock it over i taped a few thumb tacks down... Forgot about them once lmao. Put a dab of grease on the petcock aand they didnt like how it felt. But yeah i dont know wknow what compells ppl to mess with everyone elses #$%*

It is risk free experimentation.  And, random action with no consequences/responsibility.  Is this taught to kids or adults anymore?  Are the parents responsible?  Are the schools responsible?

But, isn't everyone supposed to share in today's "equal" society? (And that means YOU sharing with THEM!)
What makes YOU so important to be immune to anyone else's desires /whims?

If there is a button, push it.
If there is a knob, twist it.
If there is a trigger, pull it.
Especially if it is free.

#1 I came out of the super market and kids were climbing all over my 550 at thr dads request so he could take a picture. I had to scald the dad a bit. if it had dropped on them they would have been suing me.
# 2 I had the bike at my old apt. parked in front of the office. while I ran inside for a min. came back out got ready to fire it up and noticed the rear brake linkage was unhinged and the kick starter was out. when you you kick start my bike thr are a few things you have to move around before you do, this wasnt done someone tried to roll out on it. FAILED!

I had a guy ask me about selling a windsurfer a few years back.  It was a place where at wouldn't be seen without an invitation from a roommate, and when it was stolen a week later It was pretty obvious who was suspect.

He rolled a jeep and had a drain plug in his skull within a month or so, so I figured Kharma worked other than the board never came back.

I'm concerned about people asking about the CL in the driveway now.   Most are really friendly but who knows, I guess I eed a lock so it can't roll.

man, I had that happen to me just a couple days ago. I came out of a to-go gyro place and some asian woman that didn't speak english had her toddler bouncing on my bike seat. All she did was smile like it was OK and let the kid bounce. It really wasn't OK at least without permission. When she took the kid off the seat he started crying to get back on. Too late I was already on the seat and had the motor started. She was all ready to put the kid back on and let him play some more all the while my dinner was getting cold. Some people have no clue about others around them.
