Topic: 1976 switch housing wires

I have a 1976 cb750 I'm trying to wire the right switch housing. I matched 3 wires, yellow/red, black/white stripe and black/red

I'm looking for where to plug these black/white dash wires, which according to wiring diagram looks like the run/off switch.

Is it somewhere at this junction?


Also, this wire in the main harness doesn't have a match.

Any help is appreciated.

The black/white should run from the kill or stop/run sw. to the coils I don't see the white tracer in your picture of the junction if it just black then no black is switched power. The brown is not used in the US it is for a little parking light over seas.

The junction wires are only black. What does that indicate?

Formerly, it had an earlier switch housing with the headlight on/off switch (with those wires not connected to anything). But, the run/off wires were solid black. They also had this red thing attached. Do I need to include this in my new wiring or something?

Power starts at the battery as a red wire it is hot all the time with the keyswitch on or off. Then when you turn the key to on or park the black wires get hot to run all the little circuits.

That red thing was added on by  a PO it does the same thing that junction in the other picture someone may have broken the factory one and put that on

Thanks for the explanation. So is this where my black/white dash wires need to plug in? Does it matter which one goes where since the other two at the junction are black as well?
