Ahh yes Kev Diaper's for Dribblers, can't stand the things, you see there is a couple of minor things they don't mention in the those glorious ads about sexy seniors frolicking in glamorous settings, one is they fit standard bodies so if you are individual they may not fit all that well and first on my all time hit parade they don't breath which if you are like me with a low grade fungus (I think I picked it up many many moons ago in the airforce ) wearing one means all your little bacteria and fungi's have a religious moment and itch itch itch so if I can manage a diaper every 6-8 months I only have to soda blast my crotch for half a day afterwards which is good. Yes folks I have tried every thing from a dilute solution of bleach to a series of horrendously expensive creams and unguents  which occasionally lend an air of burning phenolic, roses, or something vaguely oily. "Oh the Joys of the Golden Years" I could give more of a dissertation on the subject but there must be a little mystery in life I find so one doesn't curl up in the pit and simply pull the blanket over your head.

insta-#$%*  DWS I have tried many things and the thing that probably would work the best would be a kilt problem is around here in the depths of rural Ontario shortly someone would show up to check my mental state and that would mean they would try and lock me away not that I am that bonkers but I don't give a #$%* and this area being so tight assed they think that is a sign of crazy, God he plays with motorcycles, swears, and doesn't vote conservative he's old. He shouldn't do that, lock him up. They are decent people but a bit un-worldly and because of the attitude you don't have to worry about flakes and the latest do good fad. Any how, see you guys, the #$%*ing golden years are another myth so have fun now, too soon it's gone.

We've had a few big fires through the bush around Darwin this week with the hot dry winds fanning the buggas.
After work this arvo, there were 5 separate blazes on the go and the firies had their arses hangin' out trying to keep the bloody things under control and they did a bloody good job.

So, I went for a drive up to the pub to grab my Friday night carton of cold piss and the bloody Stuart Highway was in lock down with thick smoke making it too dangerous to drive.
After sitting in the line up of cars for about 20 minutes, a bloke started getting the bloody "Ducks 'n Drakes" from a lack of alcohol infusion.

Not to be outdone, I shoved the Toyota into 4 wheel drive and headed through the bush towards the pub as it was becoming a matter of urgency to neck a nice cold beer.
Finally, everything in the world was good again with the cold beer running down the inside and outside of my neck and washing away the dried up sweat.
You fcuken beauty, I was a happy camper.

I love a fire, but when they prevent access to the pub, it's enough to piss anybody off.

I was going to go for a ride. I was going to tidy the garage. I was going to finish putting the new 250 motor together.
I was going to do lots of things.
Ended up pruning a couple of hydrangeas, well butchered them actually. now I've got to unload the trailer, load up with my "prunings" and get rid of them.

A few young fellas found out the hard way about the consequences of driving on the wrong side last week Fred.
First of all, they carjacked a V8 Commodore, then took some Hero Pills and held up a Dominos Pizza delivery lad on his scooter with a bloody shotgun.
I'm guessing that would have netted them about 10 or 20 bucks.

By this time, the coppers were onto 'em and a high speed chase began down the Stuart Highway which is the only way out of Darwin.
Then these dickheads started driving down the wrong side if the highway knowing that the cops wouldn't pursue them any more because it's the policy of the cops to terminate any pursuit that could endanger the public.

As they were approaching the Howard Springs intersection travelling at 185KPH (115 MPH), they ran a red light and collected a Jeep crossing the intersection.
The dickhead who was driving got away with a few cuts and bruises, one of his mates is dead and his other 2 mates and his girlfriend are in intensive care and still listed as critical.
The driver of the Jeep was listed as critical but he's coming good now.

This dickhead who was driving the stolen car is behind bars now and there's every chance that Santa won't be bringing him any goodies this year or for quite a few more to come.

Well I've been thinking about a new Indian Chief all year. First it was a pipe dream, then with the return to the work force it was starting to look easy. Then I realised that I'm gonna need a new car soon, as my little 'Roo is showing some wear, (enjoying a litre of oil every week/1000 miles, no leaks and no smoke, just lots of miles) so I decided to "downsize" my motorcycle expectations.

Hmmnnn, well if I can't buy a new American V twin, a slightly used (but significantly cheaper) American V twin would be nice, so I've just bought this one. I had a 1984 Sporty in 1987, it had about 10,000 miles on the clock, and I loved it, so when I saw this 1994 Sporty with only 4000 miles on the clock, I had to have it. I did the "Buy it now", and paid the seller via Paypal, and asked him to truck it to Canberra, so hopefully, all will go well, and the wifey will be none the wiser!

So why, dear reader am I even slightly pissed off? Well I've gotta go cap in hand to Pete and ask him for another insurance quote.............

Ha ha, well there you go Mick, the logistics of deceit are quite often difficult to coordinate, but I pride myself on stealthy motorcycle purchases, and in this case, the stars have aligned, and everything's falling into place.

The money's come from untraceable sources that the wife isn't aware of, and Cliff (maduncle) has volunteered to collect it from the bike shop in Melbourne and deliver it to Canberra in his ute, so all going well, it'll be another perfect crime..........

Well I was so excited about my latest motorcycle purchase that I forgot to relay my latest adventure in this eminent tome of pissedoffiness.

On Friday I knocked off work (pissed off early) at midday, and just for a change, drove direct to Bairnsdale (my home town) to visit my mum and finish off the BMW R1200C fuel tank I've been de-rusting and replacing the fuel pump assembly, etc. The lady owner had paid my cousin for the work, so I needed to get the tank reassembled and back to her.

Instead of driving to Melbourne then on to Bairnsdale, I elected to drive through Cooma, Bombala, Cann River, Orbost, then on to Bairnsdale. The only problem was, I missed the turnoff to Bombala, but as Bega was only another 60 Kms (35 miles) from the Bombala turnoff, I decided to continue on, as I was enjoying the drive, and another hour or so wouldn't mess with my loose itinery.

What I wasn't aware of, was a down hill stretch that made the "Dragons Tail" look like a 3 lane highway. Fark! Seriously, the mass of 15 MPH corners would have made Valentino Rossi schidt himself, and by the time I was halfway down the mountain the brakes on my little Subaru were cooked, and non functional. It was like the disc pads were self lubricating, the harder I pushed the brake pedal, the faster I went!

It's got an auto transmission, so all I could do was use the "Lock" button which apparently locks the transmission in second gear for driving in snow, and I used the handbrake (which has an expanding drum within the rear discs) which, while I couldn't actually stop, retarded my manic progress ever so slightly.

When I arrived in Bairnsdale my older sister and my cuz came over with some Chinese takeaway, and when I told them about my adventure my mum said she thought that place was called "Brown Mountain" which I assumed referred to the "Brown Mountain" I'd deposited in my trousers when I was sailing thru the corners at twice or three times the posted speed, with no farking brakes! Luckily for me there was little traffic, or I would definitely have either collected someone, or gone off the sheer drops on the other side.

The rest of the drive was uneventful, and it was a bit of a trip down memory lane driving thru Eden where I spent several camping holidays with my family back in the 1960's and early 1970's, the place really hasn't changed much, the "Garden of Eden" camp park is still there and still operating, and the main street doesn't look any different after almost 50 years, amazing.

So apart from almost killing myself, (which pissed me off, if I do ever kill myself, I want it to be on purpose, and preferably whilst banging a supermodel when I'm in my 90's) it wasn't a bad drive, although I won't be doing it again any time soon...............
