350f engine assembly question - HELP!!
« on: July 31, 2012, 10:46:31 AM »
So, I'm finally getting one of my 350f engines back together and do not have a template engine to compare to.  I'm lost on how to assemble the intermediate shaft that goes through the starter clutch assembly and transfers the power from the crankshaft to the clutch.  I have a 400f and 350f book, but I can't find a clear picture to answer my question.

Here's how I understand it, and how I assembled it:
1) The shaft goes through the block from the oil pump side with no washers or spacers on the oil pump side.  It goes through the starter clutch assembly towards to the clutch assembly.
2) The "hat" spacer goes between the starter clutch and the bearing on the clutch side.
3) After the circlip is in place, the small spacer is installed, then the drive gear and bolt are installed.

Can anyone verify that for me?

Thanks,
Camelman
