I rode one at the dealer the other day. Rode the DCT flappy paddle gearbox model. Very smooth power delivery, high seating position, but very comfortable. I really liked it. Put it on my list for bikes I must own someday. Not fast, but certainly powerful enough to tool around down or on the highway with.

I don't know that I'd get the DCT model though. I prefer a normal gearbox, but the functionality of the DCT can't really be denied. It worked really really well, smooth shifts on both manual and automatic modes. See if you can ride one, it's worth a trip to the dealer.

I read somewhere that this NC is more economical(75 mpg) than the CBR250.This is really good for a 700cc if you want my opinion.I don't know why we don't have this transmission(DCT) in Canada.

Thanks for your responses. I have looked at this bike for awhile.  The engine is 1/2 a Honda car engine ...low red line but suppose to have the power in the speeds I drive.

I don't know where you live, but here in Quebec/Canada this bike sell for around $9,000+tx but in U.S the same bike sell for around $6,000...

It's no surprize that there is more and more Canadians who buy in U.S.

A biker friend of mine rented one in Scotland when we were doing a Highland Tour of Scotland - brand new NC700X. He was really impressed - it takes some getting used to as it dosent rev like a regular bike. Has lots of torque and good for fuel economy. The tank is all luggage space. Ran well for 5 days and 1000 miles - good on the twisty highland roads and also good on the highway. Here are a few shots

I read that the riding position is not the same and the seat height as well.
