Okay. I have recently bought at '78 cb 750. And because of this I have asked many questions for which the answers are available in old threads.

I'm sorry. I know this is in bad form. But I'm stupidly busy. Really, too busy to take on a new project now.

In any case. I've purchased new tires, and it seems that I should replace the wheel bearings while I have the wheels off.

Can someone tell me what I need to order to do this?

I see that there are several bearing products available, including seals.

Specifically, what will I need to purchase for a 1978 Honda cb 750 to get this done? And where is the best place (both in terms of price and delivery time) from which to order.

Thanks. A

Mingo ; Most folks here tolerate a lot of questions, although some want you to use the "Search" feature. The 1 for this site usually doesn't work and "Google' is like trying to pick a drop of water out of the ocean, yougot gobs of crap you have to go through. When your on "Dial-Up" like I am that takes ForEver ! As far as your bearings are concerned, most sites on the "Net" that serve Hondas will be able to help you find the right bearings you need. Plus once you have the Part  Numbers you need you might be able to get them from your local NAPA, they (if willing to help) have a very good interchange/locating ability!!  As far as removal, while you have your tire off you can probably use a long punch or drift that you run from one side to the other and tapping around in circles on the back side of the bearing will/should bring it out. Not knowing exactly what model you've got I cant tell you for sure of the process or what you might run into. If it were me I'ld go here, http://www.hondachopper.com/engine/fiche_pages/fiche_pages.html  and find the model you need and it will show you what your going to have to deal with. Hope this helps.   ...cougar...

I used the all balls kits on my 70 K.

Installed on my 78k:

All Balls Wheel Bearings and Seal Kit - Front 25-1307
All Balls Wheel Bearings and Seal Kit - Rear 25-1362

I found the best price at http://www.powersportsuperstore.com/

Tapping out the old bearings is the trickiest part. You'll need a long drift, preferably brass a bfh & a strong right arm.

Bearing retainers will need their stakes drilled.

Threads on this abound so search for details.
