She Does Exist
« on: August 07, 2012, 07:41:23 AM »

Took some pics over the weekend but had not ridden her in a few days.  Had a little trouble starting her this morning and the battery was already a little down from sitting up for months.  Ran out of battery juice and said what the heck.  Gave her a kick and she almost started.  After a few more kicks she fired right up.  Having a kickstarter on the bike is really awesome.

beautiful machine, congrats!

but if i understand correctly, the kickstart method won't work if there zero energy in the battery... so some juice there will always be needed...

There was still some juice.  I could see the neutral light.  Just real weak.

I also replaced my flasher relay that bikebandit wanted $60 for with one for $3.50 from the auto parts store.  Blinkers once again work correctly.  I am assuming they worked correctly when the bike was new.

The picture actually makes her look better than she does.  It had just finished raining.

Thanks to MoMo for the info on the relay only being $3.
