I'm running the same, No rubbing and NO ADVERSE HANDLING. Cuz the next topic will be why not to run a larger front tire which will also be like beating a dead horse.

it rubs on the brake disk side. And also at the front of the fender's underside, where the bolts hold the fender to the bracing.

I haven't had a chance to refit the fender and pull (bend) it up a bit. I'll do that tomorrow.

This is on a 750. What model bike do you have. If it is a 750, that 100/90-19 should have no problems.

This is the side where it is the closest.

Brake side has plenty of room.

Tried to fit a fender over my 110/90/19, had no luck yet. Maybe slot the attachment holes. How do you stop that bike?

Is that a 71' by chance? are those later forks, or just later seal cap trim pieces?

it is a '75. Stops as you would expect it to. Just fork seal caps from CycleX when I got the shorter tubes.

Okay, after so many told me that it would definitely fit, I went out and tried it again. the left side--the side with the disk--rubs. No way it's going to work.

I then took the fender back off and bent it silly and tried to reinstall. Still not fitting.

I shot some high quality images of the tire rubbing the fender's left side, but the files were too big to upload. I'll try to upload what I can.

Also, the fender seems to have been cut in the past--where it clears the brake assembly. You'll see it in the photos if I can upload them.

Finally, I'm including some shots of my front wheel. Is there any possibility I'm missing a spacer? I don't know.

My fork brace looks different from yours, I think.

You can upload your photo's to something like Photobucket.com and then link them like I do.

Dumb question but if you are facing the bike head on with fender on. Did you remove the left side bolts that hold the fender on? You may need to do this then place you wheel on. Then place the two bolts back on.

Sorry, I don't follow. Are saying wait until the wheel is on the bike to attach the fender, or at least the bolts (opposite the brake side) that hold the fender on? Why?

Make sure the caliper is off. You can have that side all mounted though including fender mounts. Opposite side, rather then putting the two bolts that mount this side to the fork leave off. Side tire in. Mount tire properly. Then you can put the two bolts back on for the fender/fork mount. Then put the caliper on. If you want I can take pics of the specifics if need be. I had the same issue with my K1. Did the above and she mounted fine.

Yeah. Pictures would be great. The caliper is off, but the caliper holding thing is still on there. It has to be, right, as the fender mounts go outside (inside in reference to the bike) the caliper holding thing.

Note, the fender is hard to squeeze into the forks. it's exerting force on both forks even before I put any bolts in.

I wonder, however, if my fender was swapped out at some point. Not that I know what it should look like, it just seems weird that I can't get it to work with the tire.

I can't find a pic of the K7 brace, but your pic looks nothing like it. That brace makes the late model fender brace look stout, by comparison.

Thanks to everyone who posted here. After an extensive google image search, it turns out I don't have the original fender on the bike. In fact, the one I have has been cut up a bit where it meets the brake on the lest fork.

So I've bid on one on eBay and we'll see how that goes.
