Hi johno. Sorry for the late response to your comments .
I'm sorry mate , but I won't be able to furnish you with the part No for the needle roller, surfice to say that I got mine from David Silvers  . I have a couple of Honda dealers books which contain all the parts Nos but I can't find them . Somehow they've ended up in one of the many ( as yet unopened ) boxes which we've packed everything away into during our recent house move . All the Honda parts including the rolling chassis (along with a box full of reciepts, one of which probably contain the needed part No ) are stored away at the back of our garage . I'm now thinking of buying another bike to race ,maybe an 8 valve Kawa ,or a sprinter based on a TZ Yamaha , cos It's now looking like the Honda won't be up and running any time soon ,and I'm now getting a pretty desperate need for speed ;) .
Regarding the business ,it's toast mate , I'm now driving a Truck for a living  .The hours are long but the moneys reasonable ,and other than the traffic it's not a problem .
Me and my buddy Mark are looking forward to getting our first high octane fix of the year at  the first Drag meeting of the year up at York Raceway this coming Easter weekend , I'll be putting out a few feelers for a suitable bike to buy .
Hopefully we'll be up an running pretty soon . Onwards and upwards mate  ;D ;D.

My project is still up an running ,I think I may have found a set of Amal Mk2 smoothbores  for it ( I know that RC did amals for sohc Hondas back in the day ) if I get them it will help add to that authentic 70s look.
I picked up a nice Lockhart oilcooler set up for it a while back . So all I need know is a decent set of rods , and somewhere to screw it all together ::)and we're away again  ;D.
I've been to a couple of drag meetings of late, without seeing anything suitable  for sale, but I did see a guy on a fairly basic ( no Motec etc) stretched out Turbo Busa at the last York Raceway meeting which looked pretty quick( and which I just don't seem to be able to get out of my head ::) . It got me thinking about a bike like that's suitability for the Standing Mile ,and maybe having a crack at getting higher up the world rankings .

I can't believe that it was August 2012 when I first posted about my build on here  ::).
However the project is still up and running . .
I was recently very close to buying myself a mint very low mileage F2 for tottering about on , and maybe even doing  a little Drag Racing on it up at York Raceway  8), that was until after having a fresh look at my project bike my mate proceeded to slag me off for even considering another 750 Honda before I got round to finishing off this one.
I've included a couple of shots of where the bike is based now, It's not ideal but its nice and cosy and should make a suitable place to get the bike finished this coming winter  :) :).

 My drag bike project is still up on the shelf in the shop but I sold 4 bikes a couple weeks ago and have more time and room to work on it. I'm presently trying to get the old engine fired up on the engine stand. My goal is do one thing every day, even if it's a small thing.

Usually after such a long time I get bored and just sell off stuff to try and recoup some of the cost , but not this baby  ;)
I've invested too much time and too much money to just let this project die off.
Last weekend an old racing buddy came over and gave me a hand to move all my stuff and make some room in my garage so I have somewhere to finish off my project .
He was blown away looking at the engine parts I've gathered and stored away in boxes for this build .
I've really got to step up and get this bike finished . Roll on 2017  ;D ;D

You're right Bill  ;)  .I know the pics  make my setup look a bit depressing, but in fact nothing could be farther from the truth . We live in a lovely house, in a very attractive street in a nice part of town ( although to be fair some of the garages around here have seen better days ) so I've a lot to be gratefull for, at least I've got somewhere to work on my bike  8) .
A few people have been kind enough to say they've got an interest in my project ,and some have said that they are  looking forward to seeing it run in anger .  The knowledge that other people are watching my progress gives me the added drive to complete the bike.
I've got a couple of things  in the pipeline  .So when I have something of significance to report I'll be posting pics etc. on here .

dosent look bad to me ,I have been in a lot worse with more bikes,had four in a 8 by 16 shed,plus parts,had to take some out to work on 1!bill

A quick update on my project as it slowly lurches forward towards the great day we get the motor fired up ;D ;D/
 Got rid of a couple of old benches today in  order to make a bit more room for me to work on the motor .

I unpacked the c/case halves today .I also started getting everything ready for fitting the con rods to my crank .
I'm unsure yet about the choice of primary chains cos there seems to be two schools of thought on this subject .
Use stock chains but check/replace regularly or fit a set of HD chains and foget about em. 
Tensioner wise I'll be fitting the best I can get my hands on .
Whichever set up I decide on it'll have to be sorted soon so I can crack on .

I'm taking a close look at those rods myself. If my hybrid KZ piston/CB1100F rod venture doesn't work out, those RPE's may go in my new engine build for the mono shock bike.

Keep plugging at it Greg. The good thing is you have a lot of the parts on hand already. One task at a time will eventually get you where you want to be on this project. Just don't give up- we're all waiting to see the final outcome.

Thanks guys for your comments  ;)much appreciated  8).
I'm building up the crank/rods today( Saturday 22nd) it's a little later than I'd planned. ::)
My 21yr old daughter is always on the last minute with everything ( drives me and her boyfriend crazy). I wander where she gets that from  ;D
I know it's nothing new to most of you guys but I'll post some picks of my days work this weekend .

Exchange rate is savage at the moment ,combine this with the cost of import duties VAT etc it makes stuff from anywhere outside of the EU very expensive indeed .
Saturdays little job of building up the crank very quickly turned the end of a good day into a nightmare  when one of the rod bolts sheared off at the base of the threaded section when I tried torqueing the first pair of bolts up :( .
It seems that I tried to torque them up too high ,so all that remains to do now is somehow find another set( or a couple) of rod bolts for a set of NOS RC HD rods.
Should be a piece of cake , NOT   :D :D

sorry if I gave you bad info,but I got my figure from a racer on the forum who uses 40ftlbs on those bolts,I did and had no problem,I was told not to use less as I thought it seemed high.billp

I can report a little progress with my motor build .
Regarding the sheared rod bolt ,i've managed to locate the European agent for arp,who lives in the UK .
Apparently,RC used the bolts from the 238/302 Ford engine for their HD Steel rods and that they are still available in packs of two or as complete engine packs .
So a pair of these combined with the 12 point nuts off the other rod bolts should do the trick
I've bought a set of stock primary chains and a DID cam chain( which are currently soaking in engine oil) so that when I sort out the rod bolt situation I can fit the crank complete with chains et into the c/cases during the Christmas break .
I've chosen stock primary chains for a couple of reasons ,one  I figure that this motor won't be used as much and that it won't be getting as much abuse thrown at it when I ride it as it would have got off me  back in the day and secondly with the combination of a modified clutch hub along with better tensioners and with frequent strip downs that they just aren't necessary .
Anyway thats were I'm at with this build at the moment .
I'll hopefully have more to report in the near future .
