cross draft issue at high speeds?
« on: August 25, 2012, 11:31:55 PM »
Been riding my bike on the freeway a little lately. I currently have pods on the intake. At higher speeds and low consistent throttle the bike will start misfiring and running like crap. Seems to come and go with the turbulent wind. If I crank the throttle open 1/2 way it goes away. Very annoying. This is definitely a cross draft issue right? Need to get some velocity stacks eh. I want them anyways

If you're sticking with stock carbs you'll have the same issue with stacks.

Cross draft issues are classic with pods. The cheaper the pod the worse the issue... typically. The only sure-fire cure is putting the stock air box back on.
