Topic: Yoshimura race motor

Gonna peek at a 72 cb550. Guy says ita got an all out yosh race motor in it. Its been sitting but its all there and stored inside. Thesr have any value?

It all depends...if you can unscrew a valve tappet cover, check for non stock retainers/springs.  Very hard to place a value on something like that...I'd say if you're interested in building up a race motor it may have some parts you want, but if the seller wasn't the builder, or the rider I would use that as a potential bargaining chip...you could be buying a bike with a worn out brick for a motor...you need more info, but not from us

hard to put a value to it as in to each their own... I am willing to pay 1k for a bike and some may think the same bike is worth half or vice versa...

Take pics and post them on the high performance forum.

Those guys will tell you if it's worth a lot or a little in pretty short order.

A famous race bike with provenance can be valuable to a collector, but hopped up street bikes are usually worth less than stock.
If this was Pop's own bike it might be collectible.
More likely it has a lot of Yosh parts - that is basically announcing "I was ridden hard".
