What CB750 electronic ignition unit is rated the best? and works well with the stock coils? Thanks.

No single answer.  Search Dyna, Pamco and Handaman ignition.  Ton of threads on this.

HondaMan's Ignition Amplifier has the OldSchool_IsCool "Excellence in Member Made Components" award. Can't get a much higher rating than that in my garage!

have a google of the boyer bransden units,ive used few,you can email them and get solid answers back promptly,like how to hook up an electronic tacho for instance to one of their units.

I'd say they are all good (the ones mentioned above) I have a couple Dynas, probably will buy Hondamans next time.

I have my K0 (engine 750E1002874) in hundreds of pieces, after 20 years of sitting in my garage. I drove it in the 80s until 92 as a cafe with S&W shocks, Kerker 4 into 1 and a 750F gas tank. I have all of the original parts, except gas tank and paintable headlight ears. Will be starting with a freshly painted frame.  Engine will be rebuilt soon. It was seized with a broken exhaust valve, but luckily the cylinders and pistons are unscored.

That is a very early '69 serial number. AKA the much coveted sandcast.  It may be a replacement case with the original number stamped on, BTW. I think the clutch cover has one less screw than the common die-cast.

i like hondaman's setup, because you have a failsafe , should something go wrong. read about it.also, new on the scene>

You also get nice fine grain control with the option of setting 1,4 and 2,3 independently.

+10 I don't know of any other system that has this. Just does not make sense to me to To get a system that does not offer this.

The Dynas had a problem they knew about and never admit to or support, so I will neer buy another.

Pamco is easy to install and I have had no issues 2 years out in really hi temp situations and Pete is very good about support.

If the HondaMan was avauilable at the time I probably would have gone with that. If the Hondaman unit fails on the road, you can defualt back to the points. Mark would also stand behind his product.
