Food for thought, a friend of mine got into a low speed collision. He had a non stock seat with the tab of the tank visible, or maybe it was the front mounting bolt of the seat that was in the open. So when he went over the bars and shattered his face on the end of the flat deck truck he hit, the tank tab or bolt de gloved his cock. The doctors re attached the skin back on and luckily for him he can still get it up. After his face healed he ended up loosing his sense of taste but walked away with his family jewels in the end...

Your "750 chop" could be a literal thing if you're not carefull.

It looks like an ignition switch with a cover.

 Impressive.

Unfortunately for me the last part of the pipes look like stock parts from under a car with the ribbing on em.
(maybe they are)
Everyone's a critic... yeah sucks - just saying looks like you could afford to cover those ribs up with some curved plate or something. Maybe just some paint on the hills or valleys of them would do it (for me).

 Damn nice work.

Very cool looking bike, very creative. love the exhaust idea, but i would have used some mandrel bends, or wrap the ones on there. the rest of the bike looks killer, don't ruin it with cheap exhaust pieces from autozone, imho.

Looks great!  Wouldn't change a thing.

Wish I had half of your creativity.  I'm building a chop but it'll be standard colors black and red - told you no creativity in my garage...

The pipes were crush bent, not mandrel bent, whick is why they look like that. Should've gone to a different shop that could mandrel bend you some pipes. Otherwise that thing looks totally #$%*in. Id ride it in a heartbeat.

I think with the time he spent it is obvious he was going for that look on the pipes ::) Good work Not my style but I don't think you need to change a thing. Wear a good cup :o

Real nice job.  I don't think the pipes are a mistake.  I think they were done that way to give it an industrial look.  Far to much time spent on every other detail on this bike for the pipes to be a mistake.  Personally I like them.  They have a rough raw powerful look to them.  Also they are very big diameter pipes so I hope there is some motor work bolted to them.  Just because something is load does not mean it sounds good.  Nasty and loud sounds great!!

Very nice bike.  I really dig the paint. Looks like quite a few hours on that tank alone.  I also like the touches of red.

Thanks for the complements guys.  This bike initially started as a very low budget project and pipes are indeed Pep boys truck tubing.  At the time that's all we could afford.  We kinda ended up liking the way the wrinkles reflected the rear spring and the cooling fins on the motor.   Many more of these to come, depending on our cash flow.

cheers,

Way cool!  Nice job.

I would test it carefully - like the exhaust can warm up your butt too much and the speedo line could eventually talk to the front tire - my $0.02 only of course.

Thanks for the complements.

This is my daily.  I ride her all the time.  Especially 500 mile interstate trips.  Stop for gas a lot :( and answer 783412 questions about the exhaust burning my ass, which it doesn't in the slightest.  The oil tank gets hotter than the exhaust.

currently building a cb450 which is going in a different direction.  Hope to post a pic soon.

bike looks really good. the back of the caliper looks like a skull in this pic. i've met two guys that have been de-balled by stock gas tanks on stock bikes, without any knife shaped pieces that looked like they were expressly designed to do that job. it's amazing what strangers will tell you in a parking lot. that being said, it's your bike and your junk. it looks bad ass, and i'm sure if you were interested in safety over bad assery, you'd be in a suv.
