Clutch Slave Cylinder rebuild

Alright guys. I have a tricky one for ya. I am rebuilding my slave cylinder and boy was it pretty nasty. But I want to be sure I put it back together correctly. Therefore, my question is, do I grease up any certain areas before I put it back together? If you have any idea on what I need to do please comment below a process.

If there's any discolouration in the bore, it's a good idea to lightly sand it with #600 (around the diameter, not in and out) as a brake hone would be too aggressive on aluminum. Other than that it's to make sure the seal is good and to apply a light coat of brake fluid to it and the bore when re-assembling. I'd gladly trade the whole mess for a cable actuated myself.

 Maybe on the actuating rod where it contacts in the cases. Pull it out and have a look.
