carb slides

Can the slides be pulled from a 1975K round top carb without removing the whole rack.

No, there will not be enough space to get the slide shaft out. You will need to remove them from the bike so you can get the screws out to disconnect the rack from the carbs. Then you can get them out. Not a bad deal...we can help you through it. Click to enlarge pic...

1975 and KO carbs are worlds apart.
If you have 1969-70 carbs congratulations!

If you have the later ones you are in for some extra work because of the lifter arms.
The easy way to deal with them is lay them down on a table and remove the screws that hold the backing plate on and lift all the junk off at once making sure to leave the carbs on the table without moving them.

After 1970 you will need to take the carbs off of the motorcycle.
