I've actually found google to be fairly accurate over well known routes. The main factor on a bike is I tend to stop more often and for longer times than if I were traveling by car.

You WILL be tempted to make a hard push for home near the end. My advice is to take it easy, rather than pull a 20 hour day/night. Been there, done that.

Spending the night in the nicest $35 motel I've been in, in Norway, WI. It's called the Viking motel on Norway st.

Oh yes. I passed into Michigan without knowing.

The motel is right on highway 2, a block from main st.

30 days, including 3 non-travel days

330 miles average per traveling day

20 states

Combined age of rider and bike = 96 years

Motorcycle repairs total: $100 parts and labour for rear wheel bearings, replace broken tachometer drive cable with free used spare one

Two oil changes during the trip
