Mystery Widget ID, or WTH is this?

 Ever have a part, or parts, that no one you ask,  knows what it is?  Not necessarily bike parts either..
 Well I got something here, no clue, but it seems to be maybe a consumable part. Came from an electric motor rewinders auction.

 Anyone know blacksmith tools well?  The big one in the pic, is it a swage, or does it have another name..?
